DescriptionWildC.A.T.s: Covert Action Teams #19, Page 3 — illustrated by Jim Lee. The attention to detail in this 90s-era artwork really highlights the care and effort Lee put into his early work, especially when compared to his more recent drawings from the 2010s. It’s stunning, even though it’s just a standard interior page. I think this is the first time I've seen comic art where they actually drew the grain of the wood on the edge of a dining table! lol.Social/Sharing |

Yeah! Jim Lee turned anything he touched into gold at this point! The promise of Image was well underway and he could do these more elaborate works in Wildcats. This is cover quality if you measure the image area and quantify the number of lines used!

The early ’90s really showcase the incredible detail and passion he poured into his artwork—especially during his WildC.A.T.s series.

Wow, nice half splashy page! The combo of Jim Lee and Scott Williams is legendary, but I've been always a huge fan of Richard Bennett's inkwork over Jim's pencils too!

I agree. I think Richard Bennett is one of the most talented and under-rated inkers\pencilers out there. It's sad that he doesn't get more love. He is an exceptional comic artist and the detail in his work is always amazing.
