Another offering from the Ostrander/Mandrake days of The Spectre. Wouldn't it be cool to have a page from every issue? One can dream...

An odd thing about this piece is the talisman at the bottom. It is a hand drawn stat. Actually, it is a double stat. Maybe even triple. If you look closely, you can tell the talisman is overlayed. It must have been an afterthought to add a large image of it. Then if you look at the very bottom there is a strip of tape that is drawn on (and contains Mandrakes signature). Then on the right-hand side there are a couple more pieces of tape. Then of course all the word balloons are stats. So, this is statted up like a drunken sailor.
