Always happy to add oversized Pope Batman to the collection. Love the abstractness of this piece. The form of Batman crouched down next to an uncovered Batcycle in its modular/collapsed form. The final cover is a little bit more clear, using curtains behind Batman to create some contrast and likely show the motorcycle more clearly to the reader.

Still very much appreciate Pope's artistry in this piece. I'm curious how it would look with different methods of coloring. Would be a cool poster.

I like how you get the brush strokes of inks here that is just as important to what makes a Paul Pope piece unique.  It's something we only get to enjoy in the original art!

Thanks ML! Still in the game, though in a more focused way.

Oversized, but still fits in a portfolio!

"Pay no attention to the thing behind the curtain!". It's difficult for me to make out what I'm seeing in the background, so I'm thinking that's reason enough to redo it in order to clarify the image. But it's still a nice, abstract background and I think it contrasts nicely withthe Batman figure being so far over to the right. I actually like your Batman figure more than the published one!

Agree, Ruben. For the reader, final image is definitely more clear with the negative space to make it easier to tell the vehicle behind. As a straight illustration/poster, this one is appealing and interesting to the eye.

Love the abstract design, and Batman's pose and demeanor is different here than I've seen in any other BM story

Wow. Beautiful piece! I quite like the overall composition as a piece of art including the abstract design of the background elements. Picturing this as a wrap-around cover, think how great the large image of Batman would look on the front cover! Anyway, it's an impressive piece to own and display!

Pope's Batman 100 design is still one of the most unique and intriguing versions of the character ever depicted! This is an awesome alternate take cover for issue #2. congrats man!

Love this Paul Pope drawing for Batman Year 100! Even though it was not published, it's a stunning example of the power of Paul's work. Pope's Batman 100 was a facinating storyline told by a fabulous storytell and artist. Love this juxtaposition of Batman and the strange mechancial engine or whatever. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
