Fortunately in those days there were creatures that lived in those rocks. I never learned what they were called and they�re gone now, but they gathered up my parts and stitched me together as best they could.

Those are some deep black inks. Not like the watered down inks with the swirls we find in more modern Mignola originals. A real classic in the library of Mignola's Hellboy works.

Never been a Hellboy reader, but the brilliant minimalist style, approach and technique with which Mignola's popularity truly took off back in the 90's, is very apparent here. Such beautifully balanced blacks!
