Description
Taking a little break from posting FF #1 pages ... cuz I saw the new Superman movie this afternoon. Really liked it!

Krypto was awesome. I would watch the movie again tomorrow just to see Krypto again.

Loved that scene with Superman, the random barking doggy and the Kaiju (don’t want go into too much detail and spoil it, cuz it was a fun little scene).

Made me think of this piece of mine that I hadn't gotten around to posting yet.

It's a beautiful illustration of Superman protecting a dog from being crushed by all kinds of debris.

I was also able to get the colored giclee print associated with the piece.

Very nice work.  I think the color takes away a lot of the impact from the image.  Love all the work on the debris.  But the way it's colored almost washes out all that great detail.

I think you like it as a Spidey Professor because it's a Ditko riff on ASM #33.

Wait....YOU liked the Superman movie? That's mindblowing, national news type of stuff! Well I'm glad you did. This is really quite a wonderful piece, especially given that it's by someone I've never heard of before. It shows the soft side of Superman, the one who loves and cares about ALL life, regardless of who they are and how they think.

I know, right?  I'm such a harsh critic!  Haha!  This was only my third movie theater movie since the pandemic began, so that definitely added to my excitement factor.  There are so many benefits to seeing a movie like this on the big screen, though it also doesn't take long to remember why it can be so frustrating (hello rude people!).  But yeah I agree with you...this wonderful piece, like the movie itself, really showcases Superman's soft caring side.

Supes doing what he do!  Got some "If This Be My Destiny" vibes, too :)  Great detail, top to bottom.  Congrats!
