DescriptionStorm in the Morlock's tunnels is a great trope of X-Men mythos. This page is the opening of the battle between Storm and Marrow, ending after a few pages with a shocking outcome.Madureira is such a talented artist. This page has an extremely sophisticated layout with great storytelling and use of deep shadows and lights. Heritage attributed the inks to Matthew Ryan. However, there is a Tim Townsend stamp on the back, so unless I have evidence otherwise I will go with that. Whoever the inker, the result is stunning. Social/Sharing |

I still think Madureira is underrated. He was a great artist who especially excelled at Uncanny taking the collection to another level. This page is fantastic

Heritage had it attributed to the wrong issue, so I wouldn't be surprised if they got the inker wrong too. I don't know Matthew Ryan's inks well, but it did look more like Tim's inks (though not quite), which at least matches the stamp. Either way, there are some great shots of Storm here, especially that top one with her face hidden in shadows. Congrats on the pickup!

Wonderful example of Madureiras storytelling. Marrow didnt study her history because Morlocks generally dont do great 1-on-1 with Storm. Just ask Callisto :)

Wow! What a stunning page for Uncanny X-Men! Drawn by Joe Marureira, it powerfully depicts the battle down in the Morlock Tunnels between Storm and Marrow! I love the setup scene in panel one and the dramatic cuts between the two combatants. Gorgeous inks by Tim Townsend really make this moment even more dramatic! Fabulous addition to your terrific collection!

Madureira was one of the most talented and innovative comic artists of the '90s, what a stunning page featuring "your" Storm!
