Description

It is said that Mandrake was actually comics' first superhero.
He was there the first one making miracles, and much before superheroes started making amazing things.
However, I am leaving this debate of the first superhero for comics historians.

There has been now and then a possibility to pick those great looking and historical Mandrake dailies at a very reasonable price, so why not? ;-)

And BTW... have you noticed that a movie titled "Mandrake the Magician" is in development, with Sacha Baron Cohen set to play the lead role of Mandrake ;-)

This 6-17-1959 daily is from the "The Strange Fisherman" story. It started on May 18 1959 and ended on August 1.

The size of the artwork is about 17" x 5".

To illustrate how poorly those great Mandrade dailies were printed, there is a Finnish comic book presenting it, one panel was also cut out.
