DescriptionPublished in 2007These cover elements were scanned in to photoshop and almagated to form the final image. Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century was based on the Legion of Super-Heroes animated series and did not take place within the DC Comics continuity. It was produced by Warner Bros. Animation and ran for two seasons from September 23, 2006 to April 5, 2008 for a total of 26 episodes. The comic series ran for 20 issues from April 2007 to November 2008. Even though it was not tied into the DC Universe, the final issue shows Brainiac of the current version of the Legion looking through a dimensional portal and observing the animated version of the Legion. Animated, I am waiting
Tuesday, almagated
And by Wednesday, I can't sleep
When the post brings, I hear you
Photoshop this it's a clear view
'Cuz you've come to rescue Steve
Fall... With you, I fall so fast
I can hardly catch my sketch, the show that lasts
Ohhhhh
It seems like I can finally test my scan on something real
I like it's staged with feels
Ohhhhh
It's as if you know this cover than I ever knew myself
I love how you can tell
All the pieces, pieces, pieces of Steve
All the pieces, pieces, pieces of Uy

This was a fun cartoon, and my kids enjoyed the trade paperback as well.

Interesting approach to creating the adaptation comic cover ala character sheet style. Might have to add the cartoon to my list, 26 episodes doesn't seem too daunting.

Kind of surprising that the comic series lasted as long as 20 issues, give nthat even the animated series it was based on itself only last 26 episodes. Pretty impressive. While as an old school collector I'm not a fan of this method of creating what will be published as a single image, the drawing themselves are nice and well drawn, in keeping withthe look of the animated series. Cool that it's for the first issue AND the TPB, too!
