Deodato, Mike - The Witches!

I'm really upset that Marvel has kept this series on the backburner, it sounded great and all the up-front work I've seen from Deodato has been absolutely outstanding. This preliminary page looked a little nicer than the con sketches that I've seen from Deodato and I figure it's not likely I'll meet him at a con any time soon to commission anything, so when it popped up on ebay in late 2002, I went for it. Very neat seeing how he puts together a page, with a lot of perspective lines and such lightly drawn in. Pencil/markers on 11x17 drawing paper. UPDATE: I shouldn't have been so upset about Marvel tucking away The Witches - I'll just say I was sorely disappointed in the series once they finally retooled/released it, hence *really* souring me on this piece of art. Shame. However, all was not wasted - my brother-in-law is a really big Deodato fan, so I decided that he would have more appreciation for it than I do, so I traded it to him in spring of 2006.
