DescriptionA page from my favorite issue of Impulse- this and issue 3 are tops, and both very Bart-centric. I sought this page out for Carol though, and happy to finally have a page with her featured (I have the page of her first appearance, but you can't see her very well).Carol inadvertently provides the setup for this issue, and Bart joins the baseball team. A fun exploration of Bart learning to fit in, in a way only Bart can. Really wish comics were slice of life one and dones like this. If you haven't checked it out, I strongly encourage it! Also love the Sega reference. I can still hear it both ways- from more melodic opening of the Sonic video game (my boys have recently discovered the original through the Nintendo Switch), to the classic ad where the dude yells "SEGA" really fast. My guess is Bart and Carol are mimicking the latter. Social/Sharing |
