Xombi #6 cover (Noelle Giddings, J.J. Birch, 1994)

I was a huge fan of the original Milestone run. Xombi was one of my favorite titles, and this was one of my most-read issues -- and I am so happy to now own this piece that was so important to me in yesteryear! Perhaps not the most action-packed cover, but it's one that always stood out to me and said so much about the specific issue, the series, and what I liked about Milestone as a whole.

Copying the original auction write-up because I am not technically savvy enough to know all these details myself: "8.25x11.25" 90 lb. watercolor paper, watercolor dyes, paint and color pencils. J.J. Birch's line art transferred on to heavy smooth hot press paper that Milestone Color Editor and artist, Noelle Giddings, hand-painted as the original camera ready art for print of the comic book cover."

Even though Milestone was an imprint of DC, this appears to be on Marvel paper -- see bottom-right corner :) Anyone know why?
