I�m cheating on this one. I was looking for marc to get a Batman or Sandman sketch. I was looking through his predone art and saw this for a cheap price. Figured I�d just grab that. He did do a quick little sandman sketch for me too (I�ll post it one day).
So- not really a commission but was exactly what I wanted

Distinct style as Hempel brings a different interpretation of Batman as folklore. One can imagine that this is how an Edward Gorey would attack this subject and theme.
