Ryan and I were asked about 4 years back to do the art for an officially licensed crowd funded book for Vampire Hunter D. This project was under the watchful eye of the creator Hideyuki Kikuchi.
The Graphic Novel crowd funder was very successful and raised almost/ or over 1 million dollars between the two campaigns and at the time was I believe the highest selling crowd funded comic ever/ So it definitely was something fans and collectors of VHD wanted.
inked over a blue line of the pencils...art is on 2/ 9.5 X 15 2 ply bristol boards, hand inked by me on DC comics bristol board using high quality archival Ultradraw india ink, with a Hunt 102 crow quill, Raphael Kolinksy Sable Brush, and rapidographs.
