Michael Golden Marionette

Wow! Yay Micronauts! Haven't seen Mari in a long, long time... she still looks good! :)

The amazing thing about all these Golden sketches is that there seems to be so little (if any) underlying build-up to the drawing...he just puts the pencil down and the lines come out 'as is'...incredible...and a GREAT Marionette..this collection is certainly turning out to be one to be envied!!

Justin, I completely agree with you. After watching Michael draw this whole weekend, he does like no underlying sketching. It's almost like he sees the complete character before him and merely traces it. Truly astounding to watch his drawings materialize out of literal thin air!

Actually Rich, Michael told me that is exactly how he does work. He sees the whole image in his head before he ever puts pencil to paper. Sort of like looking at a block of marble and seeing the statue inside before the first hammer wack. Everything else is excess. Pretty amazing. It has been fun to watch him do each of these pieces at the shows. I've never seen any other artist work this way. Ever.
