Description

Shelly" resurrects a terror-filled tableau from the golden age of gore, returning to the scene of the crime to reimagine his chilling 1953 cover -- one of the grisliest gems of the pre-Code horror boom. A poor soul casts his line for a quiet day of fishing... and reels in a wide-eyed, blood-soaked head, staring straight into your nightmares. The artist takes a few liberties -- slightly tweaking the color palette and dropping the original word balloon -- but the result is a near-twin to the infamous This Magazine Is Haunted cover from Fawcett Comics.
