Description

The heroes and their surly captive Erwin Rogers are beset by Condor's vampires:

(Tesla removes Erwin’s gag) “Your master doesn't need you anymore, Erwin. You hear that?”

“Cough! Cough! You were stupid. How did you expect to surprise him? He's always a move or two ahead of his opponents. No one can kill a Master of the Night! Not even your Dampyr!”

“He's managed it a few times.”

“They were no match for the Condor!”

“Ssh! I see them! The undead! They're all around us!”

(Harlan) “Run, guys! Tesla and I have your back!”

“Yyyagghh!”

(Kurjak) “Now! Run! As if your feet had wings!

Out of the Erwins
Out from the village
Can't make the same mistake this time
We are with Harlan
The last illustration
We are undead they left behind

And in Condor when we are ever gonna change
Living vampires in fear 'til nothing else remains

We don't need a Dampyr hero
We don't need to know the page owned
All we want is life beyond
The Dampyr home

More masterful storytelling on this sequence. Panels are made to be broken!

After all the tension, the action comes thick and fast here. It looks like the worst place for the team to pick a fight. The 'exploding' vampire in the top right panel of the second page is just superb (in a completely disgusting way).

Great transition from the escalating tension to the intense action from page to page! Page 60 panel 2 has such a horror look to it. Awesome stuff!
