DescriptionYear: 1974Size: 13.7" x 10.8" This was my absolute favourite Frazetta ERB John Carter piece so when the chance came, there wasn't a choice really. It involved liquidating some pieces I thought I wouldn't but such is the OA game. After getting this in hand, there are no regrets! Frazetta was a master and looking at these crazy confident lines is mesmerizing. Something of note is that when I removed the piece from the matting, you then see the words "Her veiled eyes seemed to read my very soul". The whole piece was done on a board that Frank had repurposed from a copy of his older comic covers too. Hope you guys enjoy looking at this as much as I do! Social/Sharing |

Good call discarding the original matting and letting the words remain.

Irresistable! Such an erotic and seductive moment of their primal attraction to each other.

Sigh! I tried the liquidating trick to go after a Frazetta in the last auction, but alas no such luck. I must be doing it wrong. But congrats to you on doing it right. Whatever you sacrificed to acquire this beauty was well worth it. I would probably enjoy looking at it more if it was hanging on MY wall. But I suppose seeing it here is just as nice. At least the admission is free. Congratulations on this masterful example.

Thanks man! There is always a chance to liquidate and upgrade in this hobby of ours!

An exquisite Frazetta illustration, and that title text/sentence goes perfectly with the piece, never should have been hidden! Amazing addition and Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely outstanding and iconic drawing. The poses, lighting, drapery, anatomy, hair, textures, lighting and composition are too good

You're luckier than the guy in the picture! What a great piece of art to own and no lady can complain as there is something for the ladies too!

This is one of those special pieces, that once you've seen it....is etched into you mind of the greatest representation of those characters. This is the penultimate vision of John Carter and the Princess of Mars. Nothing will ever surpass its grandeur. Congratulations!

Unbelievable. Frazetta at one of his peaks, of which he had so many. No one like him, a one off. What he had simply can't be taught, it's just in that one person.

Iconic pen and ink example--and love see the words on the art, getting a glimpse into Frazetta's process.

I'm so glad that it is possible to blow up the image, to see the amazingly deft lines for shading and musculature. Masterful.
