Description

Hans Rickheit's Cochlea & Eustachia was inspired by dreams. The more I read the series, the more that fully comes through. To be honest, it is one of the most unique comics that I have ever seen. Hans always include some great detail to go with the beautiful lines. He is very effective at visual storytelling.

This page reinforces that idea as we see a hatch open to a glass box with these winged creatures sleeping down below. The box itself has a control panel and a pair of arms with claspers on the exterior. This immediately reminded me of a reverse 'win a stuffed animal' claw game that you would find at the arcade, and that is wild. Cochlea or Eustachia, it can be tough to tell who's who, is now moments away from winning a lovely prize.

You can check out Hans Rickheit's comics here.

It looks like one bizarre bit of imagination after another and we are following gameplay with each puzzle game to be solved.  It will unlock the next surreal piece of the story.  Rickheit goes from small and confined to a wide and deep environment so fluidly.

Every page you've shared from this book so far has been brilliantly odd and intriguing. And like all the others, I don't know exactly what's going on here, but I can't help but looking and wondering what it could be!
