Description¨Days of Future Past"Sentinel Pin-Up "Likewise his entire skeleton is laced with that same miracle metal, making his bones virtually unbreakable, add to that a BERSERKER FURY that gives him the fighting prowess of a score of heroes." NARRATOR (Claremont) BERSERKERS (also ulfhednar) were Viking warriors who fought half-naked, covered in skins. They entered combat under a certain trance of a psychotic profile, almost insensitive to pain, it is said that they were almost as strong as wolfs, bears or bulls, and they used to bite their shields and there was no fire or steel to stop them. [1] They launched into combat with blind fury, without armor. His mere presence terrified his enemies and even his battle companions, because in a state of trance they were unable to distinguish allies from enemies.[2] A characteristic which later gave rise to the modern English adjective berserk 'furiously violent or out of control'. Berserkers are attested to in numerous Old Norse sources.[3] This Pin-Up is an amazing Tribute to the "Days of Future Past" storyline. Please look at additional pictures of Uncanny X-Men Vol. 1 #141 Page 16. I love the recreation done by the artist! Angel Unzueta portraits masterfully that Wolverine's berserker fury. Strong hand-painted backgrounds that stand out the mutant action. Claws against Sentinels! Angel Unzueta is a spanish artist very well know because of his work on Star Wars titles. Done in the great tradition of Wolverine demolishing Sentinels! The job is not done with the lighting in one eye still on. The decapitation served up by Logan is very appropriate, having a fall season Halloween theme.
