Description

Published 1983 by Pacific Comics
written by Roy Thomas based on the stories by Michael Moorcock.

Elric has been cast overboard by his cousin Yrkoon who seeks to rule Melnibon�.
Drowning Elric calls upon Straasha, King of the seas for help.
Straasha appears but Elric thinks that he has dreamt him up.
Never less, Straasha saves Elric from drowning and carries him off to safety.

This was a collaboration between Russell and Gilbert with Russell credited with layouts and inking and Gibert credited with pencils and inks.

Waves in a Gilbert pitch, he's inking me out the dark
Finally Yrkoon sea you crystal clear
Go 'head and throw me boat and I'll lay your ship bare
See how I leave with PC piece from you
Don't underestimate the inks on Russell too

They keep me thinking that we almost drowned at all

Absolutely fantastic. Other than the oftentimes horrible coloring process, these books were gorgeous.

I've always loved Russell's delicate lines. His work has always had such a nice feel of romanticism to it!
