Description
Hey there!

I had family visiting over the long weekend, so I've been away from CAF for a while. I need to catch up on my comments, as you all have been posting some amazing stuff!

I was finally able to scan my new FF #3 pages this evening.

This is a really fun one, as it was revealed in the previous issue that Doctor (now Sorcerer Supreme) Doom had a failsafe way of winning every battle by re-setting time back to a saved moment if he was ever in danger of losing.

On this page, Doom does one of those time re-sets in the fourth panel with a green flash of light when (in the third panel) Reed gets the drop on him by elongating his arms and strangling him from behind. I have to wonder about that sound effect -- "SLKKKLT!" -- Did Reed actually manage to slice Doom's neck through his armor? I mean, it sounds more like a Wolverine sound effect, right?

Anyway, Doom casually re-sets time and continues talking as if nothing had happened, now able to anticipate Reed's attack --- because it already happened once before! So cool!

The thing that stands out to me most, is that the entire page feels like it came from the Dr. Strange/Dr.Doom hardcover graphic novel Mignola did back in the late 80's. That is some great pedigree!

You cant make plans for something thats already fated to occur! Doctor Doom + Doctor Strange = Doctor Fate!? I guess that comic math doesnt check out but hey Marvel and DC are doing crossovers again! Really dig the look for Doom Humberto skillfully illustrates in this run, another really nice page from it!

Ditko-esque flavor extrapolation to the max with Humberto Ramos taking a wild turn into the magical realm!

That last panel looks like Marvel might be marketing a Doctor Doom slingshot ;)
