Rubenesque and voluptuous model used making all those imps uncomfortable as opposed to the other way around.
Oh come on! I know I've gained back half the weight I lost 2 years ago, but I look nothing like her!
Whatever, Papa Cass.
Hey, at least I'm still alive. No choking on Wienerschnitzels for this guy!
haha!!! "as opposed to the other way around"
I can always count on you Marcus for the BEST commentary. Thank you!
A lovely illustration, and the background impasto gives it a wonderful texture.
Thanks for pointing out the background as I was thinking "that is not watercolor"
I think he probably used a watercolor wash for the figures, but that background is most likely just done with acrylics.
Yes, the figures are painted with George's customary gentle quality (sigh... so lovely)
The background stands out as unusual. Due to the texture and the bright color --- the background reminds me of the paint by numbers kits my sisters used to do. Those kits always had bright colors for some reason and the brushes were cheap and so created a lot of texture. So, I at first glance, I was really distracted by the background. I've gotten used to it now and find it a very endearing work of art. Thanks for posting it!
It's Johhny C who posted it, actually. I'm just a friend who commented on it!
