When I think She-Hulk I think Byrne. Fantastic page and that last panel is amazing and should be considered the "prototype" for the meme, ha!
This is absolutely top notch Byrne She-Hulk content/art/writing and the whole 9! I'd much rather have something like this than anything action. Gorgeous stuff and charming/humorous as well of course. As for the inspiration behind the distracted boyfriend meme, I think your reference to Archie makes absolute sense and I actually own a Harry Lucy Archie page from 1964 which also could be looked at as an old school prototype of that meme ;)
Beauty of a page!
Color me green with envy - I wanted this page! Congrats to you!!
Beautiful Byrne!
I've been rereading Sensational She-Hulk recently for the first time since the series was coming out monthly. Been disappointed because the 4th wall stuff feels annoying now, whereas I used to really dig it. But the art, as this page shows, is as great as it ever was. Kudos, Chuck!
Those prime issue from Byrne on She-Hulk are colossal!!! Such a very nice page!
The way he inked himself here, I wished that he would ink his own work this same way for the rest of his career.
Agreed Byrne did the definitive She Hulk. This page is perfect
Sensationally cool Byrne She-Hulk page, all Byrne, all Jen, and a perfect panel 5, congrats!!
Great page from Byrne's first (and best) run on Shulkie
Baller.
Sockamagee!
As much as I love this page, which is a lot, is also how angry I am with you about this photograph.
It's oversized! too big for my scanner...I could scan in pieces but I'm always afraid closing the lid will damage the artwork...Photo will have to do...
sweet page buddy, i need a nice bronze era byrne piece sooo badly, lol
