Our beloved Annie Hall is gone.

Oscar winning actress Diane Keaton passed away today at the age of 79. Keaton, perhaps best known for her role in the Godfather films and as the predominant muse for Director Woody Allen, had a career that spanned five decades. As an award-winning star of stage and screen, her accolades include the Oscar, two Golden Globes, and a BAFTA. She was also nominated for two Emmy�s and a Tony. While most likely remembered for many of her comedic roles, she also delivered strong dramatic performances in films like Looking for Mr. Goodbar, Reds, Shoot the Moon, Mrs. Soffel, and Crimes of the Heart. Aside from acting, Ms. Keaton was a style icon, an activist, a writer, editor, photographer, and real estate developer. She leaves behind a tremendous body of work and a great legacy. Prayers and condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and fans around the world.

Nice tribute Eric, to a truly great actress. A friend took me to see an Annie Hall- Manhattan double bill some 40 years ago, my first exposure to these films and to Diane K, and I've been a huge admirer ever since. RIP

Annie Hall. And a film she never got enough credit for was Reds. She was fantastic alongside Warren Beatty and a wonderful cameo by Jack Nicholson. I think she was as beautiful inside as outside. Rest in peace.
