I've been posting too many of these lately.

As a huge movie fan, I probably fell in love with Drew Struzan's work before I even knew the name Drew Struzan. Even now, so many of his beautiful and timeless works are flashing through my mind. I could probably fill this space with just his list of movie poster work, but during his 50-year, award winning career, he also provided artwork for album covers, video games, DVD box covers, theme park rides, and of course book covers. His long association with Lucas and Spielberg resulted in so many iconic Star Wars and Indiana Jones images (even including the original design for the Industrial Light & Magic logo). So many of those classic images are associated with not just our favorite films, but our favorite memories. Even today, I'm sure there are people walking around who are Drew Struzan fans without even knowing his name. It of course makes me sad to think there will be never be another new Struzan masterpiece to appreciate, admire, and ingrain to memory. But I flipped through my copy of his OEUVRE book just before I typed this and that was more than enough to make me smile at the thought of his incredible legacy that will be creating new fans and admirers long after you and I are gone. So rest in peace Drew. And thank you so much for all the wonderful magic you sprinkled on our lives. My condolences to his family, friends, and fans throughout the world.

Future generations will add Struzan's body of work to the unexplained marvels list, I mean how could a human hand have possibly created these masterpieces?
