DescriptionBeautiful Tex art for the cover to Moon Knight #1 (1999). I love the crescent shaped cape and the classic costume here with the art appearing to pay a bit of homage to Bill Sienkiewicz’ cover for the original Moon Knight series #1 (1980).Note: There are two separate pieces of art that combine to make up the published cover… The main figure of Moon Knight is on one board and the outline of the serpent in the background is on a second board. Only ONE MILLION times better than a crappy Official Handbook image.

One of the strongest cape games in the biz~ and all Tex! Great classic costume cover for MK, congrats! Hard to believe this came out almost 20 years after the Sienk MK #1 cover did. Even harder to believe that it's been another 27 years since this one came out!

This is why I love Tex so much. He can make any character iconic. Love it!

Such a great MK image and extra cool points for being an issue 1 cover.

Tex was the man for these characters like Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, etc. making them hits in the grim and gritty 90's! A symbolic design worthy of a number 1 issue!

You know I never realized the Neil and Bill influence on Tex till this image, and now I can't unsee it. Not a bad thing though, Tex always made the work his own. WHat a great cover and iconic interpretation of MK. Congrats.
