After not patching up things with Lilhy, Azrael feels direction-less and returns to the Batcave offering Batman his services. Although Batman reminds him that Robin will always be Batman's only partner, Alfred Pennyworth suggests that Azrael may check out a potential vampire who was recently sighted in a shanty town near Websterville which is located south of Gotham City.

Azrael finds the vampire and defeats him by exposing him into sunlight, thus, answering the prayers of a little girl by being her guardian angel. For now, Azrael decides to stay in this small town...
