Description
Another fun pickup from Gene! I've always been a huge fan of Duo Damsel (and Triplicate Girl, and Triad, and Duplicate Damsel, and Una), for a lot of reasons. In most incarnations of the Legion, she has a fascinating backstory, and her powerset, though fundamentally the same, has technically gone through more changes than most other heroes'. It's pretty hard to find any art of her for sale, so when the opportunity came up to buy this piece, I just had to go for it!

I think my favourite part of this piece is just how happy Luornu looks. After losing one of her three selves and going from Triplicate Girl to Duo Damsel, her personality became a lot more serious and strict (it's not easy to lose an entire third of your being), so I like that Gene depicted her so happy here - maybe her husband Bouncing Boy just told a joke that cheered her up. The colourwork is super smooth and clean, which I always enjoy, and even for a fairly simple costume, Gene found ways to add in some fun little details. Note the flight ring on her finger, her tiny white earrings, and how she's wearing purple and orange nail polish that corresponds to the split colours of her costume!

No split personality here, Gonzales just leans heavy on the side of joy!

Her smile and happiness is infectuous! I can't help but be a little cheered up myself looking at her expression. And Gene's colors are very nice. Great addition!
