Description

Matteo's ink wash commissions are a bit outside of my price range, so I was happy that he was offering remarques at NYCC. While his futuristic and alien designs helped make Black Science one of my favorite comics, it also stood out because of his emotional faces. You could feel the pain and joy of the characters.

Here, I get boiling rage and contempt from Rhino. It's amazing how much emotion he was able to add with the eyes and a few facial lines. He really hates his foe.

Completed at NYCC 2025.
