TV shows, toys, and the comics. This was the blueprint the US took in the 80's with toy franchises that permeated every aspect of kids lives. It's great that they made the Kamen Rider comics as colorful, if not more, than the other versions to fill up a kid's imagination.
Majo property in Japan specifically, I take it? I've never seen or heard of it. Nice, vibrant colors!

So colorful it looks like it might come right off the canvas and straight into animated form in my brain! awesome DPS from a great Japanese franchise.
All three panels are great. The vibe is so alien and yet goofy. Even the panel division, giving the largest panel to the simplest composition while squeezing huge amounts of phenomena into the narrow edge panels, is suggestive of comics from another world.
