Description
Done circa 2009
This pin up was published in Modern Masters Volume 21: Chris Sprouse by TwoMorrows publications in 2009.

Lost in another world, oh Saturn, Saturn Girl.

Far away, ot an infinite world I escape
I'm clear and calm, I'm unafraid.
Sunless days, in my sheltered Milky Way
In Saturn's rings I feel no pain.

In my heart, in my head
Oh, Saturn Girl has always bled
No you're not, from this world
Saturn Girl

If you are Irma, you should know
The lonely planets just get Legionnaire
The Lightning you're in love
Than if you were alone
Memories turn into Ardeen
Titan's a new moon

I don't want to be afraid
The deeper TwoMorrows
It takes my sketch away
Soft arts in comic souls
Heart to art and eyes to lines
In this volume?

Miki we built this Sprouse
On memories
Take my picture now
Make it till you see it
And Saturn's fantasies
Become your legacy
Promise me a page
In your Sprouse of memories

Have the contents of her pouches ever been revealed?

I like to imagine that they contain mementoes from her home world of Titan, to keep her grounded. Like moon dust, and maybe a shell from the shore of the great lakes of methane. At least, the real Titan has methane lakes. I guess that wouldn't be good for sustaining life like Saturn Girl in the comics.

I don't recall the conents of any of the pouches being revealed, but I'll to check before asserting such a sweeping statement.

I have it confirmed by several Legion experts that the content of the pouches have never been revealed.

Using the buckle as the backdrop is a nice touch.

That was a common theme for Chris.

I have a Triplicate Girl by Kitson with the same background motif.

A very nice looking convention sketch. It's cool that it was published in the book as exactly what it is - an example of a nice Sprouse convention sketch!

Cool Saturn Girl in Chris's crisp pencils and inks! How's Paula Cole's  Legion collection? We know who her favorite Legion member is!
