Description

In the early 1980s, writer Sharman DiVono and artist Fran Matera created a pitch for a Dolly Parton newspaper strip, working up a couple dozen test strips as proof-of-concept. The project didn't go anywhere, so the writer/artist team moved on and instead went on to produce the short-lived 'Legend Of Bruce Lee' syndicated strip!

I think if Dolly offered up the food to the children, it would have gotten the approval as she's universally beloved. Then again, Bruce would have done the same for the kids.
