The Craft Occult Store Movie Drawing

"We are the weirdos, mister."

This original 11" x 8" blue-colored pencil drawing on vellum paper was made for the production of Andrew Fleming's 1996 cult horror film The Craft.

Hand-drawn illustrations like this one were photocopied and enlarged to be used as posters on the walls of the magic store where the coven shops for spells and supplies.

Filmmakers consulted a real-life practicing Wiccan priestess to ensure authenticity of the on-screen witchcraft depictions. A fictional deity named Manon was created for the story so as to not disrespect any religion or invoke an actual entity.

The Craft follows a group of Catholic prep school outcasts who bond through a mutual interest in the occult, but their dabbling to reclaim some control in their lives spirals into something much darker and more powerful.
