Dragonmage by Jeff Moy

This was a nice little eBay pickup from a few months ago. Dragonmage is a pretty obscure Legionnaire, with magic/sorcery-related powers. He was part of the Legionnaires team during the 5 Years Later era, and was a very minor supporting character in the Legionnaires comics after the Zero Hour reboot. This was the costume he wore during the 5 Years Later era, so that's the gallery I'm putting him in, even though Jeff's work is much more associated with the Reboot (semantics, I know, but splitting hairs over continuity is a Legion tradition!).

So far, this is probably the most obscure Legionnaire in my collection of unpublished art. On top of that, finding Moy pinups for sale in the wild isn't a super common thing, and it's even less common for the piece to feature a male character, so I consider this a pretty rare find, all around! Jeff does fantastic work, as always. I love the precise, monodirectional lines used to give value to the costume and hair; it always gives such a clean look to the finished product. Jeff picked a perfect pose to show off all the best parts of Dragonmage's costume - the Legion belt buckle, the fingerless gloves, and the dragon design that curls around his leg - along with some nice swirly magical effects as he conjures up a spell.
