Description

Instead of decapitating Tesla, Arioch's sword cuts a gash into the painting behind her, and she is swept away in a torrent of blood that flows from it:

“This hair is like steel wire! I can't get it out!”

“...But for now, my collection will remain incomplete.”

“Ahhh!... But where did I end up?”

As every Tarantino fan knows, you can get away with a lot more blood in black and white art. These pages have some great moments, including the silhouette swimming panel and the reflection of Arioch's cleaver in the extreme close up of Tesla's frightened eye. The painting into which she's been swept was the one previously identified as "The Infernal City of Eblis."

A close shave for Tesla!  We can see the fear in her eye close up!  Illustration is top notch in these action sequences with more dynamic camera work!
