The good guys reunite in Sinistrari's art gallery:
(Kurjak) “Where's the exit from this maze of horror? Do you know? Is that one of the details that bastard Samael shared with you?”
(Tess O'Day) “Of course! I can get us out the same way I got in, but we'd find ourselves on a street in Prague. And while I don't mind seeing you naked like that, I think you'd stand out.”
“And besides, it's the middle of winter outside. Weak as I am, I'd catch pneumonia right away.”
(Bozena the spok begins to materialize) “Those voices! Kurjak, Tesla! Where are you?”
“Here! We're here! Can you find me?”
“Thanks! This place was well hidden, but… you're not Tesla!”
“I am, believe me. And you're Bozena, from the Green Eagle tavern.”
“Bozena and Gustav Meyrink! Nice to see you. If Nik comes, tell him I need some clothes.”
(Bozena gawks at naked Kurjak) “Ooh…”
(Later, when Harlan and Nikolaus have arrived with supplies, including an assault rifle.) “And as soon as Bozena finishes stitching up your scratches and dressing your wounds, you'll try on the clothes we brought you, Kurjak. After the pharmacy, we stopped by the department store.”
“I hope they fit. We guessed the size.”
“They'll fit me perfectly… ah!”
(Bozena) “Poor Emil. How much they hurt you. I'll console you with Devil's Stream beer and my special goulash.” (Devil's Stream is the artificial canal which separates Kampa Island from the Prague mainland.)
“I already feel reborn. I didn't know you were also a nurse, Bozena. Where did you learn?”
“On Charles Bridge, in 1648, patching up the wounds of students fighting the Swedes. For nursing practice, there's nothing better than a good battle.” (The Battle of Prague was the end of the Thirty Years War. The war was complicated, but at this point, Sweden was raiding Prague to steal an art collection. Yes, really.)
“And in this guise, you can even… go out into the sunlight?”
“Yep! Do you still doubt that I'm Tesla? This virtual body of mine isn't truly alive, even less so than my other undead body. But it can experience every sensation… and it has no limitations whatsoever.”
Hear that, kids? Tesla says virtual reality is better than real life. Or un-life, in her case.
