Description
This artwork having a dedication for Charler Reifinger explained also how it survived and wasn't trashed like most of the artwork back then in the 1940s.

Most likely Charles Reifinger was a 10-year boy when he got this artwork, I am assuming this happened in 1942.
I also have a feeling this artwork was very valuable for Mr. Charles Reifinger, because it appeared for sale only in 2024, after he passed away in the same year.

There is Walt's signature and dedication, we need to remember that most folks believed Walt was doing all that pencilling and inking himself, and signature in this case "proved" it. However, this signature is not Walt's but made in the studio, and actually it looks very much like how Floyd Gottfredson made Walt's signatures.
If you have better guesstimates for this, please share your idea with pictures, thanks a lot :-)

Mr. Reifinger was a teacher, singer and songwriter, he also was the founder of "Sounds of Nashville Country Music Show" so, this artwork together with this provenance is a very nice example of Americana.

This original artwork was used only once in newspapers (2-10-1942) but not recycled to Walt Disney's Comics & Stories like many other dailies was used as the half page comic book pages; by widening a bit panels are drawing some extra there to reach needed dimensioning for comic book pages.
I assume this was because the artwork was given out from the studio. At that time using the original daily artwork was easier and faster, and there was not any copies left if artwork was given out.

Bascially it's a piece of a lifetime.  From childhood to death, this is something that meant more to him than any short term money.
