DescriptionThe Shadow is featured in every panel on this outstanding action page as he engages in some pistol-whippin' pulp-noir action. It is a wonderfully dark and moody page by Mike Kaluta, and a standout from his classic run from the 1970s. Mike's love and affinity for the character has been demonstrated throughout his career, but none of Kaluta's gorgeous work on The Shadow ever exceeded the impact this DC 70s series.Social/Sharing |

The last issue his did interiors for and Kaluta only did work on 5 of them. The difference he made was stark as he strove to present the Shadow in how he was presented in the pulps. Full of suspense and tension! The close up panel is everything you want in the character!

Spectacular page! It's amazing that after all this time, this short Kaluta run remains the definitive comic interpretation of the character. Congratulations on this wonderful example!

Lovely, playful sense of space, particularly in the fourth panel. Great movement, and that last panel is so interesting. Great page!
