Description
This blew my mind from the very first day when I saw it.
Mickey and Dippy Dawg ( later Goofy ) in their first story appearance together.
From the story line : "The Crazy Crime Wave" was where the readers first saw the "Dynamic Duo" together.
Before Mickey had been a Treasure-hunter and a Mailpilot, but with this story line the famous Detective stories really began..!
As a bonus this may even be the eldest known survived example of an original MM comic strip existing with Dippy Dawg ( Goofy ) on it.
Mickey and Goofy appears on all 4 panels together - and the sign on the door with both their names as detectives is simply historical.

Heritage wrote : Floyd Gottfredson Mickey Mouse Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-27-33 (Disney, 1933). Gottfredson sends detectives Mickey Mouse and Dippy Dawg (later known as Goofy) on a case involving a gang of "hair-robbers." Mickey declares: ''... [We] ain't gonna stop till we catch 'em!" -- a grammatical lapse that Disney's management would not have allowed in Mickey's eventual development as a role-model figure. Dippy Dawg disguises himself in old-lady drag, as if any costume could hide that pronounced overbite and the protruding Adam's apple. A real trailblazer, the Mickey Mouse strip dates from 1930 as the first such Disney feature for newspaper syndication.

Thanks a lot Monty. Not the first time we have crossed our blades ;-) But good to know that we both share lot of the same fascination for great artwork.:-)

I have watched and read so many things about Disney and it's characters, but I never knew Goofy was originally called Dippy Dog.  How was that not in any of it?  This is a way cool find!

Congratulations.
