We interrupt our regularly scheduled program to bring you this special bulletin on an incredible act of kindness and generosity.

Had a new post scheduled for tomorrow, but could not wait another second to post this one. Just got home from meeting up with The King of Comments himself, Mr. Marcus Wai. When he pulled this piece out, I thought it was because he knew what a huge Nowlan fan I am and just wanted to show off. We chatted about it for a while, but when I tried to hand the piece back to him he said, it�s yours. Wow! Not only generous with the CAF comments, but just as generous with his gift giving. Anyway, just a super cool Captain America sketch/prelim by one of my absolute Art Gods, the great Kevin Nowlan (gee, I hope I didn�t get Alberto�s gift by mistake LOL). Now we�re all used to seeing Kevin do his standard repertoire of trademark characters � Doctor Strange, Batman, Hulk, Jack B. Quick, or Frankenstein. Every once in while, he might switch it up with a cool drawing of Vision, Supergirl, or Valkyrie. But in recent years, he�s thrown Cap into the mix quite a bit. At some point, what with being such a huge fan of Kevin�s, I figured I�d end up with a Cap piece eventually. And thanks to Marcus, that time arrived even sooner than I thought. And I couldn�t be more thrilled. Just love the trademark Nowlan linework of course. Even in this rougher, unfinished state, the lines are still classic Nowlan. Anyway, it�s a bit early but thanks to Marcus, my holidays are off to a great start. Thanks buddy!

SWEET! (And I'm not just talking about the sketch here!) A fantastic and generous move - what a gift! - that undoubtedly had you smiling like Cap here. I always love process and prelim pieces because of the opportunity they afford you to see the raw energy and core underpinnings of an artist's style; a quick glance 'under the hood' (as it were), and (no surprise) Kevin's style is just fantastic. A bit more of a direct route to you than the path your Nowlan Sage (and Mulch!) piece took. What an incredibly kind and generous gesture from Marcus! Happy holidays to both you gents (and to everyone else on CAF). :)
