Description

Ultimate X-Men Annual starts out as a fun story with Gambit and Rogue having a little RR in Vegas. Jugernaut plays the part of the jealous friend that doesnt take too well to being put into the friendzone. Chaos ensues and Gambit winds up dead. The last scene where she's holding him I think was played out in the X-Men 97 animated with his death.

I started out with a few pages that led to a few more. Casually piecing together the book? Maybe. A random search finds this cover in Austrailia! Unfortunatly the seller didnt want to ship to the states. Hwoever I emailed a buddy in the land down under who helped shepherd this the rest of the way.

I don't know if I've ever seen Gambit without his head gear before. He looks so different from what I'm used to here. Always a pleasure to see the "cards being thrown at the reader" trope and Rogue looks so demure and lovely.

Ah yes, thanks. I was so intent on just looking at the art that I didn't even notice that it was from the Ultimate universe. Now it makes a lot more sense.

Yessss Ultimate X!!!! Sweet Immonen cover pencils. congrats!!! Def nice to have friends down under to help re-locate some original art. Awesome to see this #1 Annual cover show up in your gallery as I know you've collected pages from this issue, putting together a whole issue 1 page at a time from an Ultimate line book/issue is something I know a little about lol (next to impossible but fun to try anyway!).
