I don't know if I've ever seen Gambit without his head gear before. He looks so different from what I'm used to here. Always a pleasure to see the "cards being thrown at the reader" trope and Rogue looks so demure and lovely.
The Ulitmate Universe had a lot of redesigns on the classic costumes. If memory serves me correctly, I don't believe that Gambit ever had a "costume" in the Ultimate universe as a result. Just the trench coat and the bo staff.
Ah yes, thanks. I was so intent on just looking at the art that I didn't even notice that it was from the Ultimate universe. Now it makes a lot more sense.
Yessss Ultimate X!!!! Sweet Immonen cover pencils. congrats!!! Def nice to have friends down under to help re-locate some original art. Awesome to see this #1 Annual cover show up in your gallery as I know you've collected pages from this issue, putting together a whole issue 1 page at a time from an Ultimate line book/issue is something I know a little about lol (next to impossible but fun to try anyway!).
