DescriptionPublished 2001Legion Worlds : Winath Winath: Population 11.2 billion. Celebrated agricultural world, famous for its climate control and bio-engineered environment. Native Winathians produce twins offspring and solo children are extremely rare. Winath is the home of twin Legionnaires Live Wire (Garth Ranzz) and Spark (Ayla Ranzz). Garth was lost on the last Legion mission and presumed dead. The Legion was disbanded and Ayla returns to her home planet. Once on planet, she discovers that you never truly go home again as she feels the isolation of being a solo on a planet of twins. And maybe a little of an inkling of how her older brother Mekt felt as he was born a solo. On the cover, she stands over a memorial stone for Garth. Purchased at the John Cassaday auction. When are these characters ever going to realize that none of them ever really die? Readers figured that out decades ago! Anyway, a really nice cover and it's cool that principle figure doesn't have the Cassaday style most of us know him for these days. Really nice!

Striking Cassaday composition with the tilted camera and echoing / stacked figures. I love how John keeps the theme of "Legion World" by giving this the round frame and thin lightning lines (to resemble a planet and continents). Sweet pick up, Miki! Congrats!
