Abe Sapien 35 p.15

As things in BPRD progressed to their apocalyptic conclusion, I really enjoyed Abe's continued journey of self discovery and final destiny. His more elongated face and frame hinted at a primal, aquatic nature. Yet somehow Fiumara portrays a frog-man's facial expressions of curiosity, joy, and puzzlement. This scene where Abe meets Alice Monaghan in a transformed, verdant England is beautifully rendered in Fiumara's distinct style. I especially like the second panel which is drawn edge to edge as Abe exults in this Eden teeming with trees and vegetation.
