Infinity Inc 24.3, homage to Power Man / Iron Fist #57

Tenth in my "Untold Tales Of Infinity Inc" series - issue 24.3, concluding an extended storyline - with art by Luis Rivera, adapted from Bob Layton's cover to Power Man/Iron Fist #57.

The last members of Infinity Inc - Silver Scarab, Jade and Obsidian - find themselves in a magical dimension, faced with their team-mates, and most of the members of the Justice Society, all imprisoned in mystical bonds, at the mercy of ... The Master Summoner, last seen in All-Star Comics #74!

Before the Summoner can secure them, Silver Scarab launches an attack, while Jade uses her power pulse to free as many of the captured heroes as possible, and Obsidian tries to merge with the villain's shadow in order to take him over, but without success. The freed Hawkman briefs the other heroes - the effects of the Crisis On Infinite Earths had altered time and space, bringing about the stellar conjunction which has freed the Summoner after only years rather than millennia, and he had acted to remove the JSA (who had stopped him previously) and their children and heirs before they could prevent him starting the process of destroying what remains of Earth 2.

While members of both teams try to delay the Master Summoner, Jade, Obsidian and the Silver Scarab - guided by Doctor Fate - must search through out the dimensions for the one JSA member who has not been captured, and who has never faced the Summoner before: The Spectre! Can they locate him - and if they do, will his power be sufficient to defeat the most powerful villain that either team have ever faced?

[SPOILER: Yes, they can find the Spectre - and he can defeat the Summoner, by hurling him forward through time to the very end of the universe, where the stars have burned out and the all-important conjunction can never take place again.]
