DescriptionOriginal Cover Art - Giuseppe Festino (Italian, * 1943).Cover of TOMORROW ITALY #30. The paperback was published in January 1979 in France and the artwork is dated 1978 and signed lower right. Tomorrow Italy #30 is a collection of 13 short stories of Italian science fiction - Special Fiction Issue No. 30, Selected by Jean-Pierre Fontana. Gouache/acrylic on illustration board. Board size: 20 x 14 in, image size: 15.75 x 11 in. Giuseppe Festino is an italian professional illustrator who started to work in the 1960s.The 1980s and 1990s marked a pivotal era for Festino’s career as he received notable commissions to design covers for URANIA, one of Italy’s leading science fiction series. Utilizing acrylic paints, he maintained a stylistic continuity with previous artists while infusing his unique flair into each cover. He also illustrated many covers of the Italian ROBOT series. I met his son Federico close to Copenhagen in Denmark. I was impressed by the story and a few artworks Federico was able to show me. I really liked the style and bought a few... Social/Sharing |

So grand of a cosmic work! The mirrorball, the rainbow castle, and the star in the distance are fantastical elements all llined up with the man and the woman's head to connect everything of interest.

Before Christmas, i took a look at Comicartfans and then got such a surprise in your gallery... a beautiful piece of Cover artwork.
