DescriptionThis is as close as I can get to opening presents under the tree at my age, posting a Kirby on CAF on Christmas morning! With the recent announcement of The Jack & Roz Kirby Awards it was time to get this interior up!When I first started collecting, I never would have believed that I would add a Jack Kirby to the collection. This traditional six panel interior from Forever People features Deadman throughout and has some wonderful perspective shots. This page also gives us a good look at “The Man with the Hook”, who was initially thought to be Deadman's killer. Fellow CAFster Lee P has the following page from this issue and he summarizes the mystery perfectly right here. Although this page does not have Krackle, there is some great action and gorgeous inks from Mike Royer. I absolutely love the perspective in that top right panel as we see the shades fly off post Deadman punch. In the man with the hook panel we see him press a button “KLAK”, which traps Deadman behind a glass wall. All to be saved in a magnificent panel featuring a grand entrance from Big Bear. The execution here is just wonderful, as is the onomatopoeia! It all comes together to make for a lovely and classic six panel interior from the King of Comics. Big thanks goes out to "the Romitaman with the hook" for this page! Social/Sharing |

DUDE. It's not a Christmas "miracle" per say, but it's a miraculous Christmas for you with this tremendous published Jack Kirby Forever People page addition to your collection! A Kirby Deadman page, a Kirby 6 panel page, and a Kirby/Royer page all at the same damn time. Huge congrats and Merry Christmas!

Very nice with the Kirby / Royer interpretation of Deadman that is so different than Adams or Garcia-Lopez. Boston Brand looks like a brawler instead of a trapeeze artist with those thick Kirby lines.

Hooks are great for spearing and holding zingers. This is fact.

Two zingers would fit perfectly on that hook. One could arguably mix and match flavors. You have to thread them via the "hotdog on a stick" method though.

Holy Christmas! A page by the King! I'm dead man. This page hits like a 1-2 combo of a jab and a right hook. Huge congrats on an epic score!

Classic all out action from the King! Love the storytelling and energy from top to bottom. Huge congrats on nabbing a Kirby page, man, let alone a sweet one like this. That's BIG.
