Too cool. Love seeing Fred tackle subjects outside of comics directly and he nailed this Stephen King! the bloody axe and typewriter are perfect touches. 

No outlines on the blood either, so this borderlines Fine Art ;)

Fianlly, someone creates an adaptaion of Stephen King.  The guy has been ignored enough.  I can imagine Hembeck asking King for persmission to draw him, "I'm your number one fan. There's nothing to worry about. You're going to be just fine. I will take good care of you. I'm your number one fan."

He looks upset that he was disturbed while writing. VERY UPSET, LIKE WE WON'T LIKE HIM WHEN HE IS MAD, UPSET.

Ah, yes!  The perfect holiday-themed Hembeck sketch card add! Really fun grab, Rick.  Hembeck's superheroes are always great (duh), but his really special pieces, I think, are the ones that deviate from that (delightful!) norm: when he takes on characters from other media or pop culture, and allows us to see familiar (or previously un-drawn subjects) through his warm and familiar lens.  Especially awesome are real life figures, like (say) The Beatles or your Mr. King here.  My only question is that with the bloodied axe here, is Fred saying Stephen is a hack? ;) Congrats, Rick!
