Description
Glanzman, better known for his war comics, spent time at Gilbert Publishing in the 50s-60s doing stories about the world around us. Each issue had several stories about various topics.

In this story, "Rogue Elephant", a hunter travels to Africa and stalks an elephant that is terrorizing villages. This page shows the villages tracking the elephant as the hunter follows along.

The art here is very Glanzmanian. Great touch on the faces and anatomy. Nice detail work to present the scene in its fullest.

Really big art. The pages are 13.5" x 21" and the art is 10.5" x 18"

Glanzman didn't skimp on any detail for the textures!  That elephant looks fit for an illustration in the old dictionary!

Thanks.

Though I was not a war-comics collector in the 70s, I always enjoyed Glanzman's art when it showed up in a book I had. Now I appreciate his work more than ever.
