Jiro Kuwata was a Japanese mangaka who created his own original superhero series called X-Man in the 1960s, which is distinct from the Marvel Comics superhero team the X-Men.
He is also highly regarded for his Batman manga adaptation for the Japanese market during the Batmania / Batmanga craze of the mid-1960s.
