Description

Lucio Parrillo "Crucifixion" ** Jesus Christ canvas illustration, 2012. Lucio Parrillo large original oil painting on canvas, created in 2012, depicting his personal and captivating depiction of the crucifixion of Christ. A masterful, large personal work presenting at approximately 33.5" x 18.5" (85 cm x 47 cm). I truly prefer his personal works. Why? Well, the amount of time and detail in Parrillo's personal works and commisions showcase superior to his comic arts, which are already truly beautiful. "Crucifixion" spoke to me. Not my usual wheelhouse obviously, but I knew it would be insane in person and it is. Signed and dated lower right. Signed again full name and dated on reverse. Note: His oils are not as bright in person as in his scans and present darker. I already knew this from other works I own. Originally a private commission for special client in Italy. Now in California. It has arrived safely from FINARTE in Italy.

A dynamic and captivating image from Lucio with his iconic dark tones.

It's so great to see the Italian master painter tackle this like classic renaissance works with a darker edge.

Yes. Lucky Italian! He has such access to stare at the real Renaissance masters in Florence and abroad! ;-)
